By accessing or using Balanzio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Balanzio is a bank statement converter that transforms PDF bank statements into structured data formats (CSV, XLSX, JSON). The Service:

• Processes both text-based and scanned (OCR) PDF bank statements
• Supports multiple banks and formats
• Provides API access for automated conversions
• Automatically deletes files after 24 hours

3. User Accounts

You may use the Service anonymously with limited quotas, or create an account for higher limits:

• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must not share your API key with unauthorized parties
• One account per person or organization

4. Usage Quotas & Credits

Paid plans offer higher limits and additional features. Credits are non-refundable unless required by law. Unused credits expire according to your plan terms.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

• Upload files you do not have the right to process
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or bypass security measures
• Use the Service for illegal activities or money laundering
• Exceed rate limits or abuse API endpoints
• Upload malicious files (viruses, malware)
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data

6. Data & Privacy

Your data privacy is paramount:

• Files are automatically deleted after 24 hours
• Transaction content is never stored in our database
• We comply with RGPD/GDPR regulations

7. Service Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, the Service is provided "as is" without guarantees:

• We may modify or discontinue features with notice
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance
• We are not liable for service interruptions

8. Accuracy & Liability

Balanzio is not liable for:

• Incorrect or incomplete conversions
• Financial losses due to parsing errors
• Decisions made based on converted data

9. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, and documentation are proprietary to Balanzio. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or redistribute our software
• Use our brand or trademarks without permission
• Create derivative works

Your Data: You retain all rights to your uploaded files and conversion results.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior
• Pose security risks to the Service

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Balanzio shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages exceeding the amount paid in the last 12 months

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France and the European Union. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction], France.

13. Changes to Terms
